Urbana - Two men have been charged for a bank robbery at Central Illinois Bank.
Ronald Corbin, 49, and Dennis Gallivan, 58, have been charged by federal criminal complaint with one count of armed bank robbery. According to the affidavit Gallivan drove Corbin from Indiana to Champaign on Monday. Corbin entered the bank around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Corbin allegedly approached a bank teller and stated "This is an armed robbery," he then placed a gun on the counter and said, "Give me all your money." A second bank teller was told to do the same thing.
Urbana police located a vehicle they believed was related to the bank robbers, driving on Interstate 74 heading east. A traffic stop was performed and officers found approximately $6,800 dollars, along with clothing items that matched the description of what the robbers were wearing.
