Decatur - The investigation for the death of a beloved pastor, BG Nevitt is complete.

Wednesday in a coroner's inquest it was determined the death to be an accident. The investigation ruled out an involvement of alcohol, drugs, distracted driving or excessive speeding. The result was from the driver of a car not seeing the motorcycle.

The accident happened the morning of August 17th. Decatur police said, a 19-year-old girl was driving westbound on Route 36. She turned left onto Maryland Avenue.

Nevitt, 55, was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he later died of his injuries. Many who knew him say one thing they will miss most is his infectious laugh. "His laugh was contagious. Like you had to start laughing or at least smile when you heard his laughter because it was just so full of life. It was just beautiful," said Rachel Wilson.

"He was always larger than life," Police Officer Cory Barrows described. "He has the most infectious laugh and the best personality."
