Former bank president sentenced for embezzlement


A U.S. District judge sentenced a former president of a Logan County bank, for embezzlement.


Bryson John Russell, 66, has been charged with embezzlement. The U.S. District judge sentenced Russell to 30 months in federal prison for embezzling more than $500,00 from Hartsburg Bank.


Russell will have to pay back $562,293 in restitution. He will also remain on three years supervision following his release from prison.
