LINCOLN- September is National Preparedness Month, and Lincoln County Officials want to make sure the Logan County community knows how to prepare and handle emergency situations of any kind, from fires to natural disasters, and public health emergencies. The Logan County Public Health Department, Logan County Emergency Management Agency, Fire, and Police Departments hosted Family Preparedness Day at Scully Park in Lincoln, where kids and their families learned about what it means to be emergency ready. Logan County Crime Stoppers were also there, taking children's finger prints and photo-i.d. Firefighters and Emergency personnel showed the kids inside fire trucks and ambulances along with their gear. Family Preparedness Day 2013 was the second year it was hosted at Scully Park in Lincoln. Last year, nearly two-hundred kids and their families attended.
