Parts of Lake Shelbyville seeing effects of the government shut down
Shelbyville - Parts of Lake Shelbyville are seeing the effects of the government shut down.
Hiking trails and picnic areas are closed, but some services are open. Visitors can still go out on the lake and rent a boat.
Lake Shelbyville also hosts balloon fest every year during Columbus Day weekend. The lake is currently looking at other locations to host the festival, in case there is no quick resolutions within the government.
