Clinton restaurant will serve up favorites again after devastating fire
Clinton - A local restaurant will rise from the ashes.
Ted's Garage in Clinton will reopen in a new location. A new owner and former employee will preserve the all American menu at a new location on South Center Street, just four blocks from the previous location.
Ted's Garage caught fire after wind blew flames over from a burning parts storage shed at neighboring Baum Chevrolet-Buick.
The restaurant was a retro 1950's themed, it even contained vintage gas pumps and antique cars. Ted's Garage was located at 808 West Van Buren.
The original owner Scott Baum, said he had to make a tough call when he decided rebuilding just wasn't in the cards right now.
The new Ted's Garage will have their grand opening on October 7th.
