Teachers and the school district head back to the bargaining table
Champaign teachers and the school district are heading back to the bargaining table this evening.
Teacher's union representatives and the school board will meet to hash out a contract agreement to avoid a strike. Because of the government shutdown no federal mediator will be on hand to assist in those negotiations.
Teachers say, they will strike if a deal is not reach. The earliest they could strike is October 18th.
