Decatur - The Salvation Army is looking for people who want to make a difference this holiday season and make a little extra cash.

The Salvation Army is looking for bell ringers for this holiday season. Starting next Tuesday through Friday the group will take applications for the job from 9:00 am - Noon and 1 pm -4pm.

"We traditionally hire people to ring at Kettle locations where we do not have a volunteer bell ringer," said Captain Wes Dalberg, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Decatur. He also said "we know we will need bell ringers at different times throughout the season when many people do not sign up to volunteer.   But if we have a volunteer, we will place the volunteer at the site first.  We know that many people need jobs and we are glad we can offer some employment," added Dalberg.

Applications can be picked up at their location at 229 West Main Street. Bell ringing starts November 8th through Christmas Eve. To find out more about bell ringing go to www.salvationarmyusa.org or www.sadecatur.org.
