Charlie sat in the back seat of the car, as the woman continued driving the hitchhiker put a rope around her neck and started to strangle her.

The man ordered the woman to pull into an area near two grain bins. The man then beat and sexually assaulted her.

He then fled the area when several cars started driving by, the man cut the woman's throat with a box cutter before he ran off.

The suspect is described to be 6'2 150 pounds with graying hair in his 40's or early 50's. He was seen wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt and faded tattoo on one forearm.
