Decatur - Busey Bank is warning about a scam targeting telephone users.
Calls are making their way through central Illinois saying your information from Busey has been compromised.
Residents say they have been receiving automated calls saying your debit card needs to be reactivated or there was an issue with their card. Others have received test messages reading BuseyB Important Message. This is not the company calling or sending these text messages.
The company said If you receive an automated phone call or text claiming to be from Busey, do not respond, simply hang up or delete the text. If you have given out your personal information please contact your financial institution.
