Industry veteran will help company better serve electronics market through enhanced production services and quality assurance
ATLANTA, Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Engent, a leading provider of next generation electronic manufacturing and technology services, announces that Andrey Karnauch has joined the company as operations manager and will serve on the management team. Karnauch will lead operations, procurement and quality control at Engent, and he will focus on aligning the company's resources and facilities to best meet Engent's growing customer needs.
With more than 18 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry (EMS) managing manufacturing operations, engineering, quality assurance, documentation control, inventory, receiving, shipping, planning and scheduling, Karnauch is a natural fit for the role of operations manager at Engent. His significant experience with quality improvements, leading large-scale projects and process development make Karnauch a key hire as Engent continues to demonstrate its commitment to being an industry leader.
"We are extremely pleased to have a talent like Andrey join the Engent team," said Daniel Baldwin, president of Engent. "Andrey's hiring signifies our commitment to offering enhanced production services and capabilities to better support customers in the development, deployment and production of next generation electronics technologies."
Karnauch has vast knowledge and understanding of the EMS industry and has had ample success running company-wide operation functions. He has experience managing a regional EMS company's conversion into a lean manufacturing facility, resulting in a 50 percent reduction of work in process, 40 percent improvement in product throughput and 20 percent labor reduction – all of which combined to double company profitability during that time period.
Karnauch is active in the EMS industry and recently completed a term as president of Surface Mount Technology Association's (SMTA) Atlanta chapter. Along with being an IPC Certified Trainer, he has an American Science for Quality Six Sigma Green Belt and has completed numerous training and development programs in lean management.
