DECATUR -- The City of Decatur is implementing voluntary water conservation measures as our pattern of dry weather continues. Lake Decatur is currently one foot below it's normal winter level. Some of the voluntary restrictions include:
- Repair leaking faucets, toilets and water pipes. - Install water efficient toilets and shower heads. - Operate washing machines and dishwashers only when full. - Do not take baths. Instead, take short showers. - Do not let water run while shaving or brushing teeth.
The conservation measures are in place until further notice.
