SPRINGFIELD -- Illinois Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka launched "The Warehouse". It's a comprehensive online database that puts local government financial information and tens of thousands of records at a single location for taxpayer review.
Topinka made a stop in Springfield today to explain the database The comptroller's office collects financial reports from 5,200 counties, municipalities and special taxing districts across the state. In creating The Warehouse, those records and other pertinent local financial information collected by the comptroller's office are immediately available to residents.
