Man convicted of 2012 murder


Champaign - A man has been convicted of the murder of a Champaign woman.


Treshaun Jake, 20, is convicted of the murder of Desirae Austin, 20, in July 2012. His trial wrapped up Thursday.


Austin was shot to death at Cruising Lane and Thornton Drive on July 4th. The jury found that Jake possessed the firearm that shot Austin.


Jake faces 35 to 75 years in prison, he will be sentenced in December. Anthony Meads is already serving a 50 year sentence for his involvement.
