Paxton - A man says he is innocent as he sits in jail on murder charges.
The attorney of Sean Kelley, 33, of Paxton says he is fighting for his freedom. He says the stabbing death of Jeffery Potts was in self-defense. The judge is however proceeding with the case.
Potts was stabbed in the chest at Shooky's bar on North Market street in October. He was taken to Carle Hospital where he later died.
Kelley was arrested for aggravated battery and second degree murder. He faces 4-15 years in prison if he is convicted. His bond was reduced from a million dollars to 250-thousand dollars.
