Danville - Police announce that an arrest has been made in a 2012 murder case.
On May 13, 2012 Danville police were called to the 500 block of Robinson Street on a shots fired call. Officers found the victim, Larry Carter, age 27, lying in the front yard of a residence. Police have been working on the case, and brought it before a Vermilion County Grand Jury this week.
An indictment was returned for the arrest of Edward Woodfork, 27, of Danville. Woodfork was taken into custody in the 600 block of North Vermilion Thursday evening.
Police are not seeking any other individuals in the case. Woodfork is being held in the Vermilion County Jail.
