UIS Volunteer Group Helping Kids All Over the World
Springfield - Volunteers in Springfield are coming together to help children across the world.
Volunteers at Springfield's UIS will help the global charity "Feed My Starving Children".
They will produce 100,000 life saving meals for kids in nearly 70 countries.
Volunteers said that this weekend is about giving back to those who are less fortunate.
"Hunger is more of a life or death kind of thing. They don't have breadlines or anything that they can go to. Feed my starving children is unique in several ways in the fact that it produces a food that is highly nutritious, but it is tolerable to malnourished stomachs all across the world," FMSC volunteer coordinator Philip Witkop told WAND News.
All volunteer slots are full, but you can still make a donation.
