A program is helping veterans in Illinois who have been rejected by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Veterans can get free legal help to file an appeal. The help comes from the Veterans Legal Support Center and Clinic. The clinic is staffed by six lawyers, 25 law students and 400 volunteer lawyers around the state.

To get legal help call 312-427-2737 or go to www.jmls.edu/veterans
