Mayor elected to Vice President for the Illinois Municipal League

Decatur - Mayor Mike McElroy has been elected to Vice President for the Illinois Municipal League.

 

More than 1,500 mayors, council members, and local officials are part of the league. The IML Conference is the gathering place for education, in-depth working sessions and learning about new laws and responsibilities that impact municipalities and municipal officials.

 

Mayor McElroy was elected during the conference along with 35 other Vice Presidents.

 

"I am excited about being selected to fill this important post," said Mayor McElroy. "I am committed to serving as a strong advocate for the City of Decatur and the people of Illinois in this role and to working with my fellow board members to support the interests of the people of this state."
