Library board approves new budget


Decatur - The Decatur Public Library Board voted to approve a new budget, which includes more than $160,000 in surplus.


The library board had to make drastic cuts to close a half-million dollar budget gap. Those cuts included funding to Baby Talk, and laying off ten employees.


The new budget for next year includes $3.2 million dollars in spending, and 166,000 in budget surplus.
