Decatur - A railroad crossing on 32nd Street in Decatur will stay open, for now.
The city council has decided to pursue a test period with temporary barricades to gauge train and car traffic. Norfolk and Southern wants the crossing removed. However, residents have voiced concerns about emergency services getting through and want it to stay.
The city has not said how long the temporary barricades test period will last.
