Decatur - The Salvation Army is saying thanks, after finding two gold coins in their kettle.
Two gold coins were found in the kettle at Kroger in Brettwood Village. The coins are valued at $273.00 each. Captain Wes Dalberg said the money was unexpected and will go to those in need "We truly thank this anonymous donor to help us reach our goal. This gift and many others will allow us to be there with a hand up for our Macon County residents who are going through a crisis of their own."
You have until December 24th to donate to the kettles.
