Springfield - More than 20 teachers could be in danger of being laid off next school year.
The Springfield school board said, it would be a money saving move for the district. Interim Superintendent Bob Leming said the plan would save an estimated $1.2 million per year that is needed to trim an anticipated $6 million budget deficit for the 2014-15 school year.
The exact number of people being laid off won't be determined until enrollment numbers are in. The school board will discuss the proposal on December 16th.
