Mattoon - At 5:45 on Saturday morning, Mattoon Police arrested two individuals for manufacturing meth in their home.
Police arrested Derek R. Miller, age 24, and Elani D. Orsborn, age 21 after they were dispatched to the home for a disturbance at S. 17th Place Apartments. When police arrived they say the disturbance was a meth lab explosion in the apartment.
Miller was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Materials to Manufacture Methamphetamine, and Allowing the usage of a Property to manufacture Methamphetamine. These charges allege that Miller had meth making equipment, that he manufactured meth, and that he allowed the usage of a residence to produce meth.
Elani Orsborn was charged with Delivery of Methamphetamine Precursors and Protection of Meth Manufacturing. These charges allege that she supplied ingredients and a location to produce meth.
Both suspects were taken to the Coles County Jail.
