Decatur - A jury trial is set to start today for a man accused of home invasion, where the victims were burned, beaten and sexually assaulted.
Charles Reed, 22, plead not guilty to home invasion, aggravated criminal sex assault and kidnapping charges.
Detectives say Reed along with 21-year-old Cameo McCrory were wearing masks when they entered a home in the 500 block of East Grand, on May 17th demanding money.
At gun point the suspects told two men and two women to undress. They were then ordered to perform sex acts. The women were assaulted then burned with a homemade torch. One of female victims was beaten with a shotgun and received medical treatment for her injuries.
McCrory's next court date is set for January 17th.
