Soldier says thanks for outpour of support through care packages

Posted:

Decatur - On Monday a former service member stopped by Holy Family School to boost moral for soldiers overseas.

Josh Grant visited Holy Family School in Decatur, where he use to be a student, to give thanks for the outpour of support sent through care packages. Several packages were sent to his squad during a tour in Afghanistan.

Grant says coming back and saying thank you was the least her could do, " them sending us stuff and showing us that we haven't been forgotten about over there and it just means a lot to all of us and it brought up moral a lot and made us kind of drive on and get the mission done over there."

Students collected items last year during the "Jam the Jeep" Drive. Those items were packaged and sent off to troops.
