Decatur - ADM's Global Headquarters will officially move to Chicago without getting state incentives.
ADM announced the move in a news release saying "while we considered other global hubs, Chicago emerged as the best location to provide efficient access to global markets while maintaining our close connections with U.S. farmers, customers and operations."
The deal will move 50 to 75 executives and support staff to downtown Chicago. ADM is also considering potential locations for a new IT center. The decision will be made by the middle of next year.
State tax incentives would have brought hundreds of jobs to the city of Decatur.
