Beach House renovation project put on hold

Decatur - The city of Decatur and the Decatur Park District continue to talk about who should be paying for what for renovations to the Beach House restaurant.

The renovations have been put on hold, after the city and Park District continue to discuss the cost sharing.  The Park District approved a $760,000 contract, with the understanding the cost would be split three ways wit the city as well as the restaurant owner. However, the Decatur city council has not agreed on anything.

The renovation was approved in October, with work set to be complete by March or April. The project is all part of the lakefront development.
