Several charged in meth ring operation


Charleston - A Loxa based meth operation led investigators to the main suspects.


Billy Boothby,55, was taken into custody for suspicion on possession of meth. Police say Boothby is suspected of providing cold medicine with pseudoephedrine to make meth. A woman was identified as the ringleader along with five other suspects, who were charged in federal court.


Thirteen others are charged in state court, they have made court appearances. Their cases are pending, while one suspect pleaded guilty last month. Boothby was the 14th person charged in state court.


Investigators say the investigation is coming to a close. They believe the main players have been arrested and charged. Approximately 20 - 30 individuals were involved.
