Neighbors help alert family of fire

Decatur - Neighbors ran to the rescue on Sunday night to alert a family of a fire.

The neighbors helped save a family of four and a dog inside a home. They noticed smoke coming from the back yard, off North and Pine Street. Trent Dailey called 911 "I ran over here, went inside, didn't even think about it.  Go inside and I just grabbed a dog and he was already going through the house making sure it was clear and then everything else was fine."

The fire traveled to another home. Crew were fighting the fire through deep snow and chilling winds. The fire caused more than $30,000 in damages. No one was injured.
