School District to make spending cuts

Maroa-Forsyth - More than $400,000 dollars in spending cuts have been approved for the Maroa-Forsyth school district.

The school board voted on Monday night in support of the district's plan. They also voted in favor to keep the high school family and consumer science program part time, instead of getting rid of it completely.

Superintendent Mike Williams says, they do not plan to layoff employees. The board will meet again in February.
