Clinton Lake fish kill blamed on water temps

Clinton - Wildlife officers say a change in water temperatures are to blame for a fish kill in Dewitt County.

More than 5,300 fish were found this week in Clinton Lake. Including walleye, bass, and channel catfish. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources say, abrupt changes in water temperature are not uncommon at a power plant lake.

Clinton Lake is near one of Exelon's nuclear power plants.
