A round at the bar will mean a round of miniature golf in one of the biggest fundraising events in the state. The Barstool open is back tomorrow.
"I look forward to this every year," said one participant. "It's a good safe time. And its all for a good cause."
The UCP Miller Lite Barstool Open raises money for United Cerebral Palsy, a nonprofit organization that supports those with the disorder.
"I had a relative of my ex-wife that passed away from cerebral palsy."
"My brother has it. Didn't think there was a lot of help for it but I see this."
This year, help is plenty. Over 23 hundred people signed up for the city wide pub crawl. Lincoln Square Lounge is excited to be one of the many bars in route.
"Oh I'm super excited," said one of the servers. "We're expecting a lot of people. So we're going to kind of push things to the side, make sure everybody's got a place to sit, a place to relax, and a place to have some fun."
And don't forget to bring your putter and a ball because you'll be putting for a purpose. The 58 bars will be split into 8 courses. Each bar will feature a miniature putting green.
According to the tournament director, "Everybody pays a fee to be in. Each team, they'll play one of the courses, and the proceeds go to United Cerebral Palsy."
And to make it safe.. some players have the opportunity to take a shuttle from bar to bar. If you choose not to.. your team must have a designated driver.. marked with a purple shirt.
