The streets of Decatur were filled Saturday with residents bar hopping for a cause. The Annual UCP Miller Lite Bastool Open was a success once again. For the 13th year in a row, about 60 local bars were split into 8 mini golf courses. Each bar featured a miniature putting green where teams of four competed to score a hole in one. Almost 24 hundred people paid a small entrance fee to sign-up for the city-wide crawl. The proceeds go to United Cerebral Palsy, a nonprofit organization that supports those with the disorder.
"We always have a lot of fun," said bar owner, DeeDee Luttrell. "We generate a lot of money for the charity that going to help a lot of people in our area."
Organizers did their best to make sure participants didn't drink and drive. They provided shuttles from bar to bar.
