Decatur - A man is charged with aggravated domestic battery, after police say he stabbed his roommate in the stomach.
In early September Demonta Hill and his roommate had been living together for four days when Hill advised his roommate that he needed to leave the residence immediately. As he was trying to leave Hill stabbed him in the stomach.
The roommate was treated at Decatur Memorial Hospital, his injuries were non-life threatening.
Police say this is not the only altercation they have had. Later in September the pair meet in the roadway in the 2800 block of Jasper Street, where Hill drew a pistol out of his backpack. Police believe that Hill was going to shoot him with the pistol unless he fled the scene immediately.
Hill has no record for a FOID card, he also has prior convictions for previous weapons offenses. He is being held in the Macon County Jail on a $200,000 bond for aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated domestic battery.
