Decatur - A man is in custody after two men were struck by a handgun during a bar fight.
On January 13, police responded to NJ's Place on South Franklin Street in Decatur for a fight. Police say that two people were struck with a hand gun, one of the victims later sought treatment at St. Mary's Hospital for a laceration.
Police issued an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Nicholas Demmer, after the bartender at NJ's Place identified him in a photo line up.
Demmer is a convicted felon, and was on parole at the time of the crime. He is currently being held at the Macon County Jail on a $100,000 bond for aggravated battery, armed violence, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
