People in Central Illinois Fed Up with Winter Weather

Springfield - With more frigid temperatures in the forecast, there's a good chance you're over Mother Nature.

Between the blowing snow, the drifting snow, and being stuck indoors because of the temperatures, many are fed up with the weather here.

To escape, many people fly south this time of year.

While this may be the peak season for flying to warmer destinations, people are willing to pay more to escape the grasp of old man winter.

"Supply and demand.  If you just want to get out of here, and the timing is usually good for a lot of people planning vacations or whatever.  It's more expensive than say hurricane season, but it's still very affordable.  It's affordable for people and definitely an option," said Suzi Davis Travel consultant Karen Krager.
