Second-degree murder verdict in Timothy Robertson trial
Paxton - A jury convicts a man of second-degree murder in the death of Timothy Robertson.
Ryan Nibbe,34, admitted to punching 44-year-old Robertson during a July 28th, 2013 incident. Nibbe threw two punches, the second caused Robertson to hit the sidewalk and fracture his skull. He spend several days at Carle Foundation Hospital, until he died from a traumatic head injury, on August 5th, 2013.
Nibbe could spend up to 20 years in jail, for the second-degree murder charge, plus a maximum of 10 years for aggravated battery. His sentence hearing is scheduled for February 24th.
