Arthur-Lovington principal resigns after domestic battery charges
Arthur - A principal accused in a domestic dispute with his wife, has now resigned from his position.
Arthur-Lovington principal Brian Hatfield, 42, was arrested earlier in January, and charged with domestic battery. Urbana police say Hatfield and his wife had an argument, she struck him, so Hatfield responded by hitting her several times.
Now, the Arthur-Lovington school district says Hatfield has sent in is resignation, and they will act on it at the district board meeting next month.
