Police find large sum of cannabis in U of I apartments
Urbana - Three men were taken into custody, after police say they found 21 pounds of cannabis.
Police on the University of Illinois campus say, the cannabis had a street value of over $80,000. The investigation has been ongoing for several weeks, involving a multi state cannabis trafficking investigation.
Steven Funes, 20, of Vina, Calif.; and Tristan Cowart, 28, and Matthew Divittorio, 19, were all taken into custody in the 300 block of East Green Street, and charged with possession with intent to deliver cannabis.
Police say they found cash and drugs in three separate apartments ,after a women tipped police off about the large amount of cannabis.
