CHICAGO, Feb. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ROTI Mediterranean Grill, a fast casual concept known for its unique emphasis on the healthy, fresh ingredients and bold flavors, announced today that Carl Segal has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Segal will officially assume the role of CEO for ROTI on February 18, 2014. Segal comes to ROTI from Potbelly Sandwich Works, with a tenured career of thirteen years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Operations. 

Ed Berg, who came out of retirement fourteen months ago to help ROTI accelerate their focus on people and culture, is stepping down from his role as CEO.

Before joining Potbelly, Segal was a founding partner of Bistro Zinc restaurants in Chicago, and served as a principal in the consulting firm of Segal Eslick Associates. Segal began his restaurant career with Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, where he spent ten years managing restaurants and developing restaurant concepts.
