Bank robber could be sentenced to 8 years in prison


Champaign - A 27-year-old man could spend 8 years in prison for a bank robbery.


Kaleb Shields will be sentenced next month for the robbery of the Central Illinois Bank last July. The Saint Joseph man wore a fake beard and handed a note to the teller demanding money.


He was arrested within minutes, inside his car on East Hill Street. Shields says he needed the money to pay his drug dealer. He could face 8 years in prison, his sentencing is set for March 14th.
