Paxton - A Paxton man is convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Eddi Ramirez, 30, is guilty of overseeing a cocaine distribution network in Decatur and Springfield. The operation called "Tres Ciudades" took down Ramirez, and 18 others involved for trafficking large amounts of cocaine.

Police arrested Ramirez, and his team in August of 2012. The investigation focused on a drug network that distributed cocaine in several Central Illinois locations.  His couriers ran most of the business out of a stash house on the north side of Decatur.

Ramirez will be sentenced in May.
