Boy found after amber alert was issued

UPDATE: The 5-year-old boy, Drake Whitker has been located. Park Ridge found Drake unharmed in the missing vehicle. The car was located in a neighborhood in Skokie.


Original story: Chicago - The Illinois Emergency alert system has issued an amber alert, for a missing 5-year-old boy.

Police say, he was abducted during a carjacking on Thursday afternoon in Park Ridge, a northwest suburb of Chicago.

Police are looking for a white 2012 Audi Q5 with Q5 with Illinois license plate R843615. The boy was taken from the 1700 block of Good Avenue.

The boy is Drake Whitker standing at 3 foot-6, and weighing about 38 pounds. He has blond hair blue green eyes. Last seen wearing a black polo coat.

The suspect is described as a black male with an afro hairstyle who was wearing a jacket and jeans, according to the alert.

Anyone with information about the child's whereabouts should call 911 or Park Ridge police at (847) 318-5252.
