Man shot in the shoulder near Fairview plaza

Decatur - Police have arrested a teen, they say is responsible for shooting a man in the shoulder on Wednesday evening.

 

Police say the shooting happened in the 1400 block of West King Street, just before 7 Wednesday night.

 

A man and his girlfriend were at Fairview Plaza, the man walked away and when he came back he told his girlfriend he had been shot in the shoulder.

 

Police arrested a 15-year-old Decatur resident, he was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.

 

The victim remains hospitalized and is expected to be ok.
