CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the comedy world lost "one of its greatest legends" with the death of Harold Ramis.
The 69-year-old Chicago native died Monday. He's famous for acting in movies like "Ghostbusters" and directing movies like "Groundhog Day" starring Bill Murray.
Emanuel said in a statement Monday that Ramis combined intellect, insight, soulfulness and silliness to make great comedies.
The mayor says Ramis' contributions to Chicago "make this loss that much more heartbreaking."
