Weather caster and long time broadcaster has passed away

The legendary broadcaster Bob Murray passed away this Wednesday morning in Decatur.

Bob was WAND's Chief Weather Forecaster from 1989-2001. Bob worked on radio, and television locally for forty years. Most recently he hosted a morning radio show on WTAX in Springfield.

Bob retired in December due to health problems, caused by brain cancer. He is survived by his wife Sandy and daughter Liz who live in Decatur, and daughter Mary who lives in Athens.
