Decatur - Dozens of people took their pets to get them spayed or neutered today.
This Wednesday is Spay Day at the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County. Nearly 200 people are getting their animals spayed or neutered.
Irene Peterson with the Humane Society, says spay and neuter programs are extremely important. "There's no homes for all these animals. the shelters are full. I know we're full, Homeward Bound is full, animal control is full. There's no where for these animals to go. They need to stop producing dogs and cats."
Doctors will continue to work until each of their furry patients have been spayed or neutered.
