Trash fine of Taylorville man has anonymously been paid

Posted:

Taylorville - On Tuesday we told you about a man who needed help paying a fine for his trash removal, we have good news to share about his debt.

The Mayor of Taylorville told us that an anonymous donor paid off the fine.

We first told you about 43-year-old Jeff Bell, and how he has been battling seizures and epilepsy most of his life, and has a back injury. In April of 2011 the city told him he had to clean-up some trash that was on his property. Bell said he wasn't able to get the work done because of his health and bad weather.

The city sent a crew in to clean it up and billed him $332 for the clean up, Bell said he couldn't pay.

Thanks to the anonymous donor Bell's debt has been paid.
