Eisenhower auditorium will be named after Gloria Davis

Decatur - The retiring superintendent for Decatur Public Schools gets a special honor.

Eisenhower High School is set to honor Gloria Davis for her 40 years in education by naming their auditorium after her.

A final date for the dedication ceremony has yet to be finalized.

Earlier this week WAND first reported Davis announcement to retire earlier than expected. The Decatur Community already knew that Davis' retirement was near. Now her last day is March 21st. The board announced on Tuesday that they have already selected her replacement. They will reveal who it is by the next meeting.

Davis served as superintendent for eight years.
